SARAS☀️TA, FL

Since our first full day in Florida was going to be ‘chilly’ in the 70’s, we decided to check out Sarasota for the day.  My in-laws have been in Florida for almost 2 months now, so they had some favorite spots dialed in and took us to a waterfront park that stole the day.

Gorgeous old trees, tons of boats in all shapes and sizes, and a sandy beach littered with sea shells, sharks teeth, canoes and kayaks made the most charming setting.  We literally spent the whole day lounging, then strolling, then lounging…and did some treasure hunting in between.🧐

We ate at O’leary’s, which was about a 5 second walk from the park area, and I felt like we were in the Caribbean.  Fresh palms trees, picnic tables on a white sandy beach area, an open air bar overlooking the water, and fresh mahi fish tacos. 😋

Even if you are not staying in Sarasota, I highly recommend visiting for a day or even just a half day especially with kiddos…the park also has a great waterfront playground!!

Our adventures in Florida have just begun, so stay tuned! ✌🏼
