The BEST of 2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣7️⃣ 🥂

2017 was MAGIC!✨

We worked hard, adventured often, and shared as much love and laughter as we could squeeze into 365 days.

Adam kicked off 2017 as the Kitty Hawk Elementary School Teacher of the Year!  Such an honor after 13 years of teaching.  I was named the Coldwell Banker Seaside Realty Agent of the Year, and shared the success with my parents since they are basically my/our life assistants and full time nannys!❤️  Hard work pays off…keep at it!!

Adam and I coached Spring Soccer and are currently taking a 5 year hiatus from coaching children’s sports 😆.

Travel is always part of our annual agenda, and our first trip of 2017 was to Tortola in April.  The island was stunning and offered so much to do.  We surfed, snorkeled, swam, lounged, ate, drank and explored.  We also checked out Jost Van Dyke for a day…gorgeous and fun!  Tortola and the BVI’s are one of our favorite destinations to date.  We are still praying for everyone affected by Hurricane Irma and hope to get back to this magical island sooner than later.

We got home just in time to celebrate our boy’s back-to-back birthdays…April 16th (Crew turned 6) & April 17th (Levi turned 4). 🎉 🎉

There is no better place to be than the Outer Banks when the weather starts to warm up. We bough a used Sea Hunt in the Spring, and it brought endless fun and adventuring to places you can only get to by boat on our little sand bar.

Spring and Summer was full of Boat Days…

Beach Days…

Pool Days…

and H2OBX Waterpark Days.  Basically anything in, on or around water 💦

Also not to be missed during an OBX Summer is Duck Music on the Lawn, Jockey’s Ridge, Downtown Manteo, and of course fresh crabs.

We celebrated our 13th Wedding Anniversary in July at Ocean Boulevard.💕

Then off to a last minute getaway to Cabo, Mexico in August.

Then Summer came to an end and the OBX local’s Summer began.  All my boys went back to school, but that didn’t stop our local island adventuring.

We had the itch for another annual family trip to Boone on the weekend before Halloween, so we headed to Tweetsie Railroad & Grandfather Mountain.

Then our annual trip to Charleston to visit our College Besties and our beloved Alma Mater.

And nothing topped off our year better than one last family adventure to the sunny Gulf Coast of Florida.  We played, laughed and loved every second of our time together and may have another annual trip on our list.✌🏼
